Renée M. Bufkin, DVM
Dr. Bufkin was born in January of 1971 in Dallas, Texas. Upon graduation from High School she received her BA at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York with a Major in English. She moved to Reno and spent two years working at Mt. Rose, then took a job as a veterinary assistant at the Animal Emergency Center while completing her pre-vet requirements at UNR. Upon completion she moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University. She moved back to Reno where she has worked in both emergency and daytime medicine. She has four young children with her husband, whom she met at Cornell. In addition to her human children, she has a vizsla/lab mix dog named "Shake-It" and a silver tabby cat named "Betelgeuse".
